Meet the Coaches Below!
Brecken Mozingo - UTAH ROYALS, BYU Soccer
- Set a school record at Alta HS with 38 goals in 2016 before going to UCLA to start her college career. After a year, she returned to Utah with BYU and went on to feature in 92 games, scoring 36 goals and providing 37 assists. For her efforts at the Y, she was named a Mac Hermann finalist and a First-Team All-American. Mozingo was drafted 4th overall at the 2023 NWSL Draft where she was part of an historic night for BYU as one of a program-record five players selected.
Justine Jones-Conroy - Mental Performance Coach
- Justine holds a Master of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Utah. With extensive experience working with professional, Olympic, and collegiate athletes, she specializes in enhancing confidence, refining self-talk, and focusing on the unique experiences of female athletes. Justine is dedicated to empowering athletes by helping their minds work for them, not against them.
Kyle Aberton- Owner and Head Sports Performance Coach of MVP Sports Science Institute, Owner MVP Therapy Services, CSCS, ASFA
- Kyle grew up as a multiple sport athlete in Holladay, Utah. He received football offers from Stanford, Utah, BYU, Colorado, Navy, Air Force, and most of the Ivy League Institutions. He played and graduated from Yale University. During his time at Yale, he assisted the Yale Lacrosse Team in their Strength and Conditioning. He received honors upon graduation for his senior thesis on the “Modern Student Athlete.” He earned his Certification of Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has served as the RSL Women’s Sports Performance Coach. He has had the honor of coaching athletes of all levels including Olympic, Professional, Collegiate and more. He has had athletes in the NWSL, NFL, NHL, NBA, and more. Kyle and MVP are 8 Time Winner’s of the Utah Best of State Award
CAMP Details
What:
This camp will be a unique opportunity to train with the best in the state! Over the course of 2.5 hours, participants will get the chance to meet and learn new skills with a BYU and Utah Royals star, Brecken Mozingo. They will also get a session working with elite mental coach, Justine Jones-Conroy to sharpen their soccer minds and mental skillset to perform their best on the field. During their session with Kyle Aberton, athletes will work on soccer specific strength and conditioning to get them faster and more athletic in the field of play.
Additionally, all players will get the opportunity to get a picture and autograph with Brecken at the end of camp!
As always, we will cap the number of athletes allowed to participate in this camp to maintain individualized coaching and feedback to those participating. These camps historically fill very fast.
Who:
Athletes 8 and above who would like to become a more skillful, faster, and mentally strong soccer player.
